    Depth of Field Rendering via Adaptive Recursive Filtering

    We have presented a new post-processing algorithm for rendering depth-of-field effects in real-time. Unlike previous kernel-based techniques, we employ an adaptive recursive filtering framework for DOF rendering. The quality can be flexibly controlled with a weighting function.

    Virtual Spherical Gaussian Lights for Real-Time Glossy Indirect Illumination

    This paper presents a simple approximation of virtual spherical lights using spherical Gaussians and filtered importance sampling specialized for reflective shadow maps. Using this technique, we are able to render one-bounce glossy interreflections including caustics with a few milliseconds overhead compared to a virtual point light based method.

    Visualizing Building Interiors using Virtual Windows

    For rendering building interiors with reasonable parallax effects, without adding geometry, we present a building interior visualization system, the Virtual Window Shader, written for a ray-traced global illumination renderer. It is employed to create an illusion of geometry and light sources inside building windows using only pre-baked textures.
